Extra large food chips for algae-eaters, with wood-fibre content for catfish

Extra large (approx 4 x bigger than JBL NovoPleco), water stable food chips for algae and plant eating catfish. Especially hard chips which have to be grated down just as in nature.

JBL Novo Pleco XL chips are made using a special production technique which achieves a composition and consistency specially tailored to the diet of plant-grating catfish (plecostomus, ancistrus, etc) and other plant-eating bottom feeders.

Wheatgerm, spirulina algae, a high plant content and 10% essential wood fibre ensure a species-specific diet.
The chips sink quickly and directly reach the habitat of the fish at the bottom of the aquarium.
The water stability of JBL NovoPlecoChips ensures that slow eaters have enough time for feeding and the water isn't unnecessarily polluted.
Stabilised vitamin C and other important vitamins promote resistance against diseases.

  • Herbivorous catfish require 10% wood fibre for their digestion. This is provided by these chips.

  • The new XL Chips don't dissolve in water, therefore avoiding water pollution and giving shy animals the change to feed undisturbed later.

  • The sinking XL Chips contain not only spirulina and plant extracts but also energy-giving wheatgerm.

At a glance:

  • Developed for algae and plant eating catfish species

  • 10% wood fibre content as needed by many catfish for their digestion

  • Water stable, which means the chips won't dissolve and cloud the water

  • Approx 4 x as big as „normal“ JBL NovoPleco Chips
