Potassium Nitrate KNO3

By simply dosing a pure KNO3 Potassium Nitrate, the dry material assists the plants with important Potassium [k] and Nitrogen [n] requirements.

The nutrients contained in Potassium Nitrate, are vital in fertilising green leafy aquarium plants, maintaining a healthy growth, promoting protein formation and they assist with the efficiency of the use of water – ensuring the plants stay healthy and grow as they would in a natural environment.

Nitrogen [n] is the first of three major nutrients that are essential to a plants survival and wellbeing. Combined with phosphorus [p] and potassium [k], these three nutrients are known as the 'macronutrients'. These nutrients are needed in large quantities for plants to flourish. Plants require nitrogen to construct biopolymers and proteins. Nitrogen is also an important component of chlorophyll, and is critical to a plant's ability to absorb and convert light energy.

Use of the nutrients will also help to avoid green algae problems within the aquarium.

The macro nutrients contained in KNO3 are crucial for survival and the dry mixture is dosed lightly, according to the amount of water the tank holds.

Offering the benefits of its Nitrate content as well as a source of Potassium, KNO3 is a valuable nutrient for healthy aquatic systems.

Dosing with dry nutritional fertilisers is more cost effective than purchasing a separate liquid fertiliser, yet dry nutrients and liquid fertilisers can also be used alongside one another.
